Arborcamp 2008

These are just some of the comments we have received at the QAA office about Arborcamp 2008. We cannot thank the volunteers enough for all the time they put in.
The most important person to thank is Simon Maloney. His dedication to this annual event is truly amazing. The QAA would like to express their sincere thanks to the “Arborcamp Master”. Most of our members are aware that Simon will be taking the next year off as Arborcamp coordinator. This is a sad loss for us in many ways. Not only does Simon put in an amazing effort, he does it with character that no one else we know has! We know Simon is only a phone call away if we need his advise on Arborcamp 2009.

At Arborcamp we had our AGM. We have had some changes on our Executive Committee. Scott Hanley has stepped down from President, but we haven’t lost him for good! Scott has now become our new Arborcamp Coordinator for the next year. Scott was the president from 2006 till 2008, so he knows all about the stresses of the Industry! Scott has big shoes to fill and we have nothing but complete confidence in his abilities. Thankyou Scott for everything you have done for the QAA. Scott is a true gentleman and we wish him well in his new role.
Our new President is Jonathan Hobbs. Jonathan was the Vice President for 2007/2008 Executive Committee. Jonathan knows what’s ahead of him and has great visions for the QAA. We are looking forward to the next 2 years with Jonathan and our new Executive Committee members . Soon we will have photos on the web site of the committee with brief discriptions.
